Children’s Choir Workshop & Day of Singing
Friday February 25 from 9am – 3pm
Workshop: $40 | Concert Tickets: $10
A joyful, fast-paced choir & arts experience for students in grades 3-8!
No prior choir experience needed. Award -winning conductor/ educator, Carrie Tennant, will help
you make the most of your voice. Choose a 90-minute drama, visual art or vocal workshop for a
mid-day change of pace. Vocal technique session leader is tenor soloist Kevin Zakresky.
Finish with an evening concert performance where singers will show off their learning from the workshop, and leave groovin’ by playing in a drum circle led by groove maestro Milton Randall!
Your $40 participant fee includes the full day of top- notch choral music instruction, a choice of drama, visual
art or vocal workshop, a performance opportunity in a professional venue, and one concert ticket for a parent to
attend the evening performance! (Participants will not need a ticket.)

Concert: 7:00 PM featuring “Children’s Choir Workshop choir” and special guests
Place: Evergreen Cultural Centre, 1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam
Participants: Students who love music and the Arts! Grades 3-8.
Schedule:
9:00 – 9:20 AM Check-in at Evergreen Cultural Centre (stage door)
9:20 – 11:30 AM Singing workshop with Carrie Tennant
11:30 – Noon LUNCH! Bring a bag lunch to eat. We’ll provide juice and nut free snack.
Noon – 1:30 PM CHOOSE Drama, Visual Art or Singing Technique on registration form
2:35 – 3:00 PM Stage/tech rehearsal for evening concert
3:05 PM Parents pick up singers at Evergreen Cultural Centre Stage Door
DINNER BREAK at home
6:30 PM Call time for concert participants; enter stage door. Singers do not require a ticket.
Concert dress – jeans and bright top, any colour. Looking spiff and tidy.
7:00 PM Showtime: one ticket included with registration.
8:00 PM BONUS- everyone on stage and in the audience is invited to stay and play in the Water’s Edge Drum Circle!
