All is welcome! All ages, all level of experiences. This is a great opportunity raise your spirits with international jazz artist Dee Daniels. Dee’s approach is to make a joyful noise through song. “We will have fun as we sing, sing and sing some more”.
Workshop synopsis. Dee will…
- Provide a brief history of gospel music and vocally demonstrate it’s evolution from “field chants” to contemporary gospel styles. She will have participants take part in the demos.
- Show participants how to “sing out” in the gospel tradition using a couple of vocal techniques which she has developed: the Rose Breath and her very own Numbered Activation technique.
- Show participants how to vocally epress the emotions of a song.
