S.O.N.G Singer/Songwriter Café
Hosted by David Anthony
Studio A | Free
Once again, Studio A is likely to be the one of the most popular hang-outs during Water’s Edge, emerging talent will rub shoulders with established artists, and anyone else can brave the storm during the open mic. Grab a coffee and enjoy some great music.
The Singer/Songwriter Cafe is organized by the BC Chapter of S.O.N.G. Formerly known as S.A.S.S. (School Alliance of Student Songwriters), now called S.O.N.G. (Songwriters Of a New Generation) is a program available to both public and private schools in BC. S.O.N.G. provides music industry mentors who come into the class room as an after school club or integrated in the curriculum. These mentors provide music industry education, a safe place for students to express themselves, show students how to be part of (and build) a community, as well as teaching songwriting. Check below for complete lineups on each day.
For more information about S.O.N.G., or to get your school involved, please contact info@songclub.ca
