ArtsConnect is the official organizer for PechaKucha Night Coquitlam (PKNCoquitlam) and we’re excited to present Volume 2 together with MOSAIC Homes. If you haven’t heard of PechaKucha, it’s an evening of sharing creativity, inspiration and ideas. Presenters show 20 slides for 20 seconds each, and the subjects come from a broad range of creative pursuits.
Pecha Kucha is a very cool movement, with events happening in 373 cities around the world, and more cities being added all the time. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of “chit chat”, it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It’s a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace. And, a great opportunity to socialize over a glass of wine, and see what some local talents are up to. Part networking event, part performance, it’s an evening of creativity, inspiration and ideas.
